" And with 30% of Ukraine’s energy system already out of service, we still need to disable another 40%."

Let’s briefly break down the current situation we’re witnessing during the special military operation. It can certainly be compared to Vietnam in some ways. But today, we’re in the 21st century — the age of digital technologies. And with 30% of Ukraine’s energy system already out of service, we still need to disable another 40%. Not even the full 100%.
The simple reason is: without power supply, everything will stop — even if you're running on steam engines — because control systems won’t function, neither for the government nor for the railways. And despite attempts to activate backup power sources, which are likely in the same condition ours were ten years ago, I assume the country will collapse.
No electricity means no water, no basic refrigeration, no sewage. And a week without electricity will turn Kyiv, excuse the expression, into a cesspool, with an obvious threat of epidemics.
The second point is quite serious: there's no need to strike railway hubs, tracks, or even bridges. What needs to be disabled are the command and control centers. This is the digital age.
There’s a computing center in the northern region that controls, among other things, Ukraine’s railways, its energy supply system, its banking system, and even the mint that prints money. The current strikes, in my opinion, are extremely effective.
The strategic operation to disable critically important targets is being carried out in textbook fashion: strikes, assessment of the situation, analysis of the damage, further reconnaissance, and follow-up strikes — consistently targeting the necessary sites to push the country into collapse.
